About Potturinn og pannan in the historical house of Skólabrú, in the center of Reykjavik
Potturinn og pannan restaurants in Iceland since 1982. Potturinn og pannan (The Pot & pan, since 1982) is a family friendly restaurant, popular for it's relaxed atmosphere and delicious cooking, offered at reasonable prices.We offer traditional Icelandic Cusine by Pot and pan in Reykjavik and in Blönduós by the ring road. We want to offer our guests a more distinctly Icelandic food profile, based on our Icelandic cultural heritage and local culinary traditions. We have therefore, in joint effort with our suppliers, set up a project for presenting in our restaurants specially adapted traditional Icelandic menu.
This offer might be of interest to individuals or groups who want to have a special evening or a special theme for their travels, and who appreciate a good meal based on cultural history.
Our menus
We offer a variety of group menus to suit a wide range of tastes & budgets. If there is something that you don't see on the menus, please let us know as our management team would be happy to speak with you about customizing your menu to suit your occasion.
Private FunctionsThe Pot & Pan main dining room is able to accommodate up to 80 people sitting down and the Basement lounge can hold up to 60 people for a standing reception.

The Pot & Pan is the perfect venue for the wedding of your dreams! We would love to speak to you about options for either a day or evening reception. Both the main dining room or the Basement lounge are perfect venues to host such a memorable event.
THIS OLD HOUSE
- The house built in the year 1907 in the center of old Reykjavik
- Icelands Surgeon General Jónas Jonassen built this stately house for his daughter Sophia.
- A restaurant opened in this old house in 1992 after a thorough renovation of the house where the emphasis was to preserve the original architecture.
